Susan Hansen has made a huge difference for every folk performer who has visited your area and for the organizations that keep this music alive. Our performances have been successful largely due to the Valley Folk show. As a new web listener, Susan's show has opened my ears to other performers and great songs I would otherwise never have heard. I am also sure that in the CD sales of artists recordings she has been instrumental, helping build new careers in this alternative music. Public radio was created to benefit the communities that are not being served by private radio. It is not only vital but a responsibility to the mission of public radio for Susan's show to return to the airwaves.
